Endoscopic Freedom
October 1, 2009
Woodstock, Georgia (October 1, 2009) Envisionier Medical Technologies, Inc. proudly announces the launch of their newest and most innovative product to date, the endogo® HD. With over three years of research and development, the endogo® HD is the worlds first and only truly portable, hand-held, HD endoscopic video camera you can use anytime, anywhere.
“The endogo® HD is a remarkable advance over the original endogo®. I'm really excited about its capabilities and the way it will enhance the surgeon's clinical practice. It is truly a unique device that allows the surgeon to capture endoscopic exams at the point of care. The endogo's® unparalleled integration of stored data with an easy to use on-line data management suite breaks the barrier in ease of use with no disruption in work-flow: bringing to bear the convenience, privacy, security, and any-where instant access of the world wide web. Another advance is our enhanced sharing capability with the endogo® HD. We offer a unique experience with a removable LCD touch screen. This first to market concept allows the surgeon to instantly share and review their exam findings with the patient in a calm unhurried setting (after the exam), they can demonstrate their findings to colleagues: locally or remotely.” Says Envisionier’s founder and Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Patrick Melder.
Based on market feedback from the groundbreaking endogo® in 2006, Envisionier is introducing a personal medical imaging platform for capturing, storing, and sharing endoscopic images in the palm of your hand.
“I have found that workflow in the clinic is enhanced. I do not have to move patients to a dedicated endo-suite to
perform endoscopy. Further, I do not have to rely on an assistant to set up and assist in my endoscopic exams. Personally,
I have developed a new level of trust with my patients. New patients can instantly see their clinical findings: it provides
more information in helping them make decisions about their own healthcare. Established patients know they can trust
the information I relay to them from their own exam using the endogo®”.
Dr. Patrick Melder, CMO.
The endogo® HD is a revolutionary device that merges data acquisition with storage and management in a novel, web application; allowing physician-to-patient sharing, synchronization of patient folders, and sending an image or video by a secured connection to a referring doctor, anytime, anywhere.
“Digital data changed radiology from dependence light boxes to tele-radiology, expanding remote readings and allowing
physicians to collaborate. The endogo® HD platform allows for current rigid and flexible endoscopes
to be converted to digital video scopes. Endoscopists can organize, edit, and access endoscopic content securely from
any internet ready computer or via the removable touch screen LCD: the eGo®.”
Envisionier’s CEO, David Guy
Envisionier’s Chief Executive Officer, David Guy states: “Transitioning from analog to digital can be time consuming and painful, especially in a surgeon’s workflow. With Medicare providing actual incentive and penalties for Electronic Medical Records (EMR) starting in 2011, most of the market, including the dozens of surgical specialties that routinely use endoscopy must find a way to move digital endoscopic data into an EMR. The endogo® HD platform automates synchronization of endoscopic multimedia for full integration into an EMR. This shift is similar to smart phones changing tele-com and we are excited to be in the middle of it. The bottom line is, portability always wins in the market and we look forward to introducing the endoscopic market to the endogo® HD on October 4th, 2009 in San Diego at The American Academy of Otolaryngology.”
